Linda C. Hyman Metropolitan Funeral
Linda Charlotte Moore Hyman transitioned to be with our heavenly father on Friday, July, 20, 2018. Surrounded by loved ones, she peacefully left the earthly realm.
Linda matriculated through the Norfolk Public School System and in second grade was tested as reading on a 7th grade level. She was an avid reader and loved to discuss current events with anyone.
She retired from Retail management in 2001 and remained close friends with many of her former co-workers.
Linda was born in Norfolk, VA on December 20, 1943 to Catherine Allen Moore and Willie James Moore. Linda married George L. Hyman, Jr. and though divorced, they remained close friends. From this union, four children were born: Rodney T. Hyman (deceased), Michelle R. Hyman, Shawn Hyman Allen (deceased), and Darryl L. Hyman; one sister Gwendolyn Moore Portlock; a niece, Kiersten E. Portlock; a nephew, Kevin Portlock (deceased); a uncle Ed Moore, Sr. of Charlotee, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.
Linda’s infectious smile and wit will be missed by all. Sleep well, loved one and take your eternal rest.
